Woden Rotary is examining the requirements and options for providing a renal dialysis health unit at Kiwirrkurra in conjunction with the Western Desert Nganampa Walytja Palyantjaku Tjutaku Aboriginal Corporation (WDNWPT).

Kiwirrkurra is in Western Australia some 700 km west of Alice Springs and 150 km west of Kintore - where we constructed the Kintore renal dialysis health unit.

This new project will involve the provision of a renal dialysis health unit and a nurse’s quarters in the community.

We will need assistance with the construction of the renal dialysis health unit and the nurses' quarters (financial, design, workers, etc).

Phase 1 - convert the old clinic at Kiwirrkurra into renal nurse quarters
WDNWPT has been given the old clinic and we (Woden Rotary) will undertake the work involved in the conversion.

Phase 2 - provide renal health treatment centre (including dialysis) in Kiwirrkurra, in the new clinic (options and details being developed). Woden Rotary is planning to undertake the work involved.
