IPC LICENCE PORTAL IS NOW OPEN FOR 2021/22

 

All athletes competing at IPC Winter Sport events (Alpine Skiing, Nordic Skiing and Snowboard) must hold a valid IPC Race Licence

Please note if you join us as an IPC Race Licence holder you will automatically receive all of the GBS Member benefits 

In order to apply for an IPC Race Licence:

 

Guides and Existing Athletes 

with a Classification Status of Confirmed (C ) and existing athletes with a Classification Status of Review with a Fixed Review Date (FRD) and a Fixed Review Date of next year or later must:

  • Hold a valid GBR passport and meet the requirements of the IPC Nationality Code
  • Have signed a copy of the current IPC Athlete Eligibility Agreement and either submitted it via the IPC Portal or sent a copy to James Redpath to be submitted manually.
  • Know their IPC SDMS Number. If you are unsure of this, please contact James Redpath

 

New athletes

with a Classification Status of (N), existing athletes with a Classification Status of Review (R ) and existing athletes with a Classification Status of Review with a Fixed Review Date (FRD) and a Fixed Review Date of this year must:

  • Hold a valid GBR passport and meet the requirements of the IPC Nationality Code
  • Have signed a copy of the current IPC Athlete Eligibility Agreement and either submitted it via the IPC Portal or sent a copy to James Redpath to be submitted manually.
  • Have completed an IPC Medical Diagnostic Form and sent it back to James Redpath for submission to the IPC along with the correct supporting medical documents
  • Know their IPC SDMS Number. If you are unsure of this, please contact James Redpath

 

 

 
Failure to meet the requirements detailed above will result in a delay in your licence being approved. Please apply in PLENTY of time before entering your first race, as licences may take up to 5 days to process and even longer in circumstances where Classification information is required.  The UK Anti-Doping Rules apply to all persons licenced (whether permenantly, provisionally, temporarily or otherwise) to participate in snowsports, for whichever is the longer of a) the length of the licence period; or b) 12 months from the date of issue of the licence, in accordance with GB Snowsport's FIS Licence Holder Code of Conduct, whether or not the licence holder is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.
